Platelet Rich Plasma Injections (PRP)

PRP injections are a new medical technology used in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries as well as in the aesthetic medicine field.

How does PRP work?
PRP treatment involves injecting a patient’s own concentrated platelets directly into an injury or area requiring rejuvenation. PRP can potentially accelerate muscle healing and reduce injury time. The plasma contains concentration of growth factors which stimulates the healing process.

Platelet rich plasma injections (PRP injections) can be used in the treatment of many musculoskeletal injuries including:
  • Tendons
    • Tennis elbow (common extensor tendinosis)
    • Golfer’s elbow (medial epicondylitis)
    • Jumper’s knee (patellar tendinosis)
    • Achilles tendinosis
    • Plantar fasciitis
    • Hamstring tendons
    • Adductor tendons
    • Gluteal tendons
  • Muscles
    • Hamstring
    • Calf
    • Quadriceps
  • Joints
    • Tronchanteric Bursitis
    • Knee MCL tears
    • Knee osteoarthritis
    • Hip Osteoarthritis
